Alone . . .

Just simply alone . . . For those of you that read this down the road or in the middle of your own pain . . . just know there may be days where you are entirely alone. That pain is almost unbearable. I wish I had an answer.  Today I have none.

“Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say “My tooth is aching” than to say “My heart is broken.” — C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain

Praying this evening for the lonely and for those who feel lost and alone.
